Pixie Ninja – Colours Out Of Space

If you are interested in music that is out of the ordinary, brimming with weirdness, quality and progressiveness in the true sense of the word I heartily recommend you listen to “Colours Out Of Space”. Just be careful of delving too deep, dear listener, because, to quote the master, H.P.Lovecraft himself, “We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far.

Bluewave Quartet – Poney-Club

…quirky saxophone melodies and sprawling synth leads over rich harmonics, and the rhythm section is grooving like there’s no tomorrow. Bluewave Quartet’s “Poney-Club” EP already now counts among my definitive favorite musical moments of 2020. 4,5/5★

Sergey Golovin – Satellite

“Satellite” is much more than your average “bedroom-prog” release for the fact it is the perfect balance between catchiness and technicality. The 80s elements gives a really catchy vibe to the album, and the punchy and crystal clear production adds dynamics to a flawless sense of songwriting. Lechuga – The Search Pt.3: The Hypothesis

Artists like Benjamin Lechuga deserve just more than some few lines of recognition. He (and his band of very talented musicians) deserve the attention of every prog outlet out there! A flowing, eclectic but homogeneous mix of progressive elements with jazz and funk grooves that doesn’t really relate to world music: this is progressive metal of a different kind! 4.5 ★ /Van

Arch Echo – Arch Echo

It might have taken a while, and a trip to Hannover to see them live, but Arch Echo’s “Arch Echo” definitely delivers on their promise to make complex yet accessible modern music. The work these five guys have put into this debut is admirable and witnessing the songs in a live setting gave us what we felt was missing from the album. A must-listen and, above all, a must-see progressive band.
