Maestrick opening show at ProgPower Europe 2024

ProgPower Europe 2024 officially kicked off on Friday Oct 4th, with Brazilian prog metallers Maestrick setting the tone for the weekend. Known for their theatrical flair and blend of power and progressive metal with a Brazilian twist, they delivered a vibrant and expressive performance. Their set featured a varied selection of songs from their discography as well as including some songs from their just released new album, "Espresso Della Vita: Lunare" (May 2025).

One of the highlights was the band's exhuberance on stage, clearly each band member were having a blast which kept the momentum high throughout the set. While some moments may have felt a bit meandering, the band’s enthusiasm was undeniable and well received by the crowd, marking a really enthusiastic start and a colorful way to open the long weekend of Prog!

I consider that to be truly Prog!
