I’ve seen Greek progressive metal band Poem two or three times before, and it’s always a real pleasure. Over the years, they’ve carved out a well-earned spot among the best in the melodic progressive metal scene, and their set at Prog Metal Mania 2025 confirmed that status once again.
Poem blend heaviness and melody in a way that feels both modern and emotional. Their music moves between complex riffs and atmospheric moments, building tension and releasing it with powerful hooks.
A consistent highlight in every Poem performance is their exceptional frontman, George Prokopiou, whose vocal range and emotional delivery are nothing short of phenomenal. Whether he’s belting powerful highs or delivering softer, nuanced lines, George brings it all masterfully, with both intensity and authenticity.
The audience roared, and clearly many fans were excited to finally see them live, and Poem didn’t disappoint. Solid, emotional, and powerful as always!
