Xaon live at Prog Metal Mania in Munich! 3rd May 2025
Xaon
I had never heard of French symphonic death metal band Xaon before Prog Metal Mania, but their show was one of those unexpected surprises that festivals are made for. They brought in a lot of energy, blending rich, melodic textures with powerful growls and an epic stage presence.
Their frontman, looking like he walked straight out of a Viking saga, commanded the stage with both vocal prowess and crowd interaction, weaving warrior-themed anthems and darker atmospheres with conviction. It was heavy, theatrical and thoroughly entertaining.
The audience absolutely loved them, and from the looks of it, Xaon left Munich with a whole bunch of new fans in their corner. A great addition to the lineup and one I’ll definitely keep an eye on going forward.
