Electric harp sounds and soothing instrumental goodness
This is the quick Corona-Edition of our Releases of the Week: this week’s highlights are “New Eyes for Laika”, the second solo album from Frequency Drift electric harpist Nerissa Schwarz and Held By Trees‘ debut full length, “Solace”. Enjoy!
Held By Trees - Solace

Listing all the guest musicians on Held By Trees’ debut album “Solace” would be too much for this little mini review. The only thing you need to know about it is that it’s wonderfully soothing, light instrumental music that serves me quite well, exhausted in bed battling the big C that I had been lucky enough to avoid so far. And have a look at that cover artwork! That gorgeous cover artwork! Dario
Nerissa Schwarz - New Eyes for Laika

Frequency Drift was a unique German prog band, and since they disbanded, mastermind Andreas Hack continued under the Feeling of Presence, while electric harpist Nerissa Schwarz is continuing her solo career. “New Eyes for Laika”, the second album under her own name, is an instrumental journey circling around the idea of sentient A.I., set to a dark, ambient harp/piano/synth prog background. Recommended for sci-fi nerds and those who seek something more relaxing yet stimulating one’s imagination. Great cover artwork from Starfountain Design! Dario
