Soulsplitter builds entire cinematic worlds, even universes, instead of merely writing songs. Universes of the mind and soul.
With their 2019 debut masterpiece “Salutogenesis”, the Germany based collective managed to propel themselves into The Progspace spotlight out of nowhere, taking home a flawless 10/10 rating. And while this conceptual debut gem was a massive undertaking that combined the talents of the four founding instrumentalists and composers with a myriad of vocalists and additional musicians, 2022’s “Connection” saw this collective grow and mature into a tight-knit quintet.
Along with these changes, the compositions also became more concise while still exhibiting their core trademark of seamlessly weaving in influences from classical and jazz music and beyond into their unique brand of progressive metal.
On the live-front, Soulsplitter has graced the stages of some of Europe’s most prestigious Prog Festivals like Euroblast – Cologne (2019), Ready for Prog? – Toulouse (2021), Night of the Prog – Loreley (2022) and the newly founded, The Progspace backed Prog Metal Mania – Munich (2025), as well as appearing on stages across Germany with artists as diverse as Ne Obliviscaris, Chaosbay and frequent collaborator Ophelia Sullivan, among others.
From our in depth conversation at Euroblast 2019 about all things “Salutogenesis” on Episode 21 of The Progcast, the premiere of the video for “Connection” opener ‘Disconnected’ and our full band talk about “Connection” on The Progtalks, to their appearance at the inaugural edition of Munich’s rising Prog Metal Mania Festival in 2025, the ties, mutual admiration and friendship between Soulsplitter and The Progspace run deep and their spot at our 10 year anniversary show is the next inevitable step in this beautiful connection that fills us with deep gratitude.
Soulsplitter is one of the six bands on our 10th Anniversary Show – “100 Reasons to Celebrate” at CPUNT, Hoofddorp – The Netherlands (just 10 min from Amsterdam’s Airport), on the 28th November 2026.
