Parius take us further into Alchestronomy with new single Unbecoming of a Gentleman

U.S. Underground Progressive Metal darlings, Parius, are back with “Alchestronomy“, an epic, 36-minute suite!

The follow-up to 2022 album, “The Signal Heard Througout Space” is a celebration of the band’s 15-year career, and a true time capsule featuring no modern audio editing techniques like quantizing or pitch correction.

“Alchestronomy” will be released November 13 on digipak CD, limited edition longbox CD, vinyl gatefold LP and digital formats via Willowtip Records.

An alchemist and an astronomer engaged in a battle of ideals. Each of them convinced they know what will ensure they live forever. The album is a sort of musical inkblot test that the band hopes will be cherished by prog fans and casual listeners alike, serving as both a half-hour progressive music epic, as well as seven distinct and traditionally structured songs — a progeny of works like Dream Theater’s “Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence” and The Mars Volta’s Cassandra Gemini

After the release of ‘Chrysopoeia’ at the beginning of September, Parius are ready unveil the next chapter of “Alchestronomy” now with ‘Unbecoming of a Gentleman’.

This rousing new entry from Parius’ upcoming album “Alchestronomy” will make you feel anything but gentlemanly. In this second scene we find the Alchemist at odds with the greater academic community as they fail to understand the nature and purpose of his work.
