ProgPower Europe 2024 – PreParty with A Kew’s Tag!

ProgPower Europe 2024 – PreParty with A Kew’s Tag!

The long-awaited weekend of maximum Prog goodness finally arrived, and it all started the day before the official ProgPower Europe dates at our co-organized Pre-Party in the magical surroundings of Kasteel De Berckt (Baarlo, NL)—more specifically, in the intimate sanctum of The Chapel. This time, our co-hosts were none other than the innovative German trio A Kew's Tag!

They delivered a very special performance featuring the complete and highly praised concept album Hephioz (2021), along with a handful of select tracks from their earlier record, Silence of the Sirens. With a unique setup of just acoustic guitar (Johannes Weik), vocals (Julian Helms), and drums (Florian Weik), the band crafted a spellbinding, nearly two-hour set that felt like one continuous journey. The stripped-down stage presence yet delivering their emotionally powerful songs, created a truly immersive experience, with the audience absolutely loving every second of it.

A stunning way to kick off the proggiest weekend of the year!

Co-Founder of The Progspace. Coming from a musical family, and long time Prog and Metal lover. One of my passions is Photography and Web Design (16+ years career path), sharing this passion and creativity as a bag designer and maker. I like all things Prog, and listen a wide variety of styles within the "Progniverse", but what I enjoy the most are the creativity and "out-of-the-box" approach musicians can offer their listeners. I consider that to be truly Prog!
