FLESHVESSEL to debut live at the first edition of PROGSTORM Festival 2025

FLESHVESSEL to debut live at the first edition of PROGSTORM Festival 2025

Fleshvessel, the international avant-garde and progressive death metal band, will make their highly anticipated live debut at ProgStorm Festival 2025 on Saturday, August 9, at Le Ministère in Montreal (CAN). Known for fusing extreme metal with jazz, classical, folk, and symphonic progressive elements, Fleshvessel creates chaotic yet captivating soundscapes. Their acclaimed debut album “Yearning: Promethean Fates Sealed” (I, Voidhanger Records) earned comparisons to Ne Obliviscaris and Thy Catafalque among others, with intricate compositions that feature flute, viola, and clarinet solos woven into blistering death metal sections.

With members based across the U.S., Thailand, and Canada, the band has built a strong cult following through their studio work. Alexander Torres expressed excitement for their first performance at an international prog fest, saying,

“We are so excited to announce that we are playing ProgStorm Festival in Montreal! We are also thrilled to announce Colin MacAndrew as our official drummer, who will be performing with us and will feature on our upcoming sophomore record.”

Fans can expect a genre-blurring, unpredictable live show that embodies Fleshvessel’s fearless experimentation.

Presented by The Progspace and organized by Metal Shed Productions, ProgStorm Festival will be Canada’s first-ever festival fully dedicated to progressive metal. Happening August 9-10, 2025, it will showcase everything from classic prog metal to the most extreme and experimental sounds. Stay tuned for more lineup announcements!

I consider that to be truly Prog!
