Montreal prog icons KARCIUS will headline ProgStorm Festival 2025

ProgStorm Festival is excited to announce that Montreal’s progressive veterans, Karcius, will headline the closing night on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at Le Ministère! Since their formation in 2001, Karcius has continuously redefined progressive rock, blending jazz-fusion, art rock, and progressive metal into a signature sound. With seven acclaimed albums, they have captivated fans worldwide, drawing comparisons to Porcupine Tree, Opeth, Steven Wilson, and King Crimson. Their latest release, “Grey White Silver Yellow & Gold” (2022), is their heaviest and most ambitious work, praised for its atmospheric depth and emotional intensity.

Karcius has toured extensively across Europe and North America, performing at renowned festivals like Night of the Prog (Germany) and Festival Crescendo (France). They’ve shared the stage with The Pineapple Thief and other influential progressive acts, cementing their reputation as an electrifying live band.

Sylvain Auclair, bassist and vocalist of Karcius says,

We are super psyched to take part in the first edition of ProgStorm Montreal Festival this summer. Lots of amazing artists coming together for such a special occasion.

Their headline show at ProgStorm 2025 promises to be an unforgettable experience for fans of progressive rock and adventurous music lovers alike!  Tickets are on sale now! Get yours before they’re gone!
