THE ANCHORET returns to Montreal, next band announced for Progstorm Festival 2025!

The Anchoret is set to return to Montreal for ProgStorm Festival 2025, performing on August 9 at Le Ministère. Their debut album, “It All Began With Loneliness”, has been praised as one of the best progressive metal releases in recent years, blending the adventurous spirit of 70s prog rock with modern intensity. The album has been lauded for its intricate compositions, fusing progressive death metal, bluesy guitar lines, and unexpected elements like clarinet solos, gospel vocals, and saxophone passages, creating a genre-defying masterpiece.

Reflecting on their upcoming performance, Eduard Levitsky expressed excitement about returning to Montreal:

“Playing in the beautiful city of Montreal feels a lot like coming home— and boy, have we missed you!”

Don’t miss the chance to experience The Anchoret live at ProgStorm Festival, where they promise an immersive and emotional musical journey. Tickets are on sale now—secure yours before they’re gone!

One of my passions is Photography and Web Design (16+ years career path), sharing this passion and creativity as a bag designer and maker. I like all things Prog, and listen a wide variety of styles within the "Progniverse", but what I enjoy the most are the creativity and "out-of-the-box" approach musicians can offer their listeners. I consider that to be truly Prog!
