Monosphere premiere crushing new single The Unknown Voice
With the release of their 2023 album “Sentience”, Monosphere paved their way to a status as one of the most thrilling acts in the German Prog/Post Metal scene. Support slots for bands as diverse as The Hirsch Effekt, The Ocean, Napalm Death, The Dear Hunter and Imperial Triumphant were the logical consequence.
Their new single “The Unknown Voice” shows Monosphere expanding their signature dark and explosive sound towards oppressive atmospheres, increasing the level of urgency supported by brooding rhythmical elements.
Songwriter Roddy Fuchs comments:
“It was a completely new challenge to write a standalone single after two expansive concept albums.”
“The Unknown Voice” is more than just a standalone single though, as it functions as a first glimpse into a new chapter of the band’s history, while revealing a callback to ‘The Lover’ from their 2021 debut album “The Puppeteer”.
“We didn’t want a song standing completely on its own, outside of any context. The connection to “The Puppeteer” is almost obvious for fans of our music. In addtion to that, “The Unknown Voice” serves as a preview of bigger things to come.”
