FROM DYING SUNS will bring progressive death metal magic to PROGSTORM Festival 2025

FROM DYING SUNS will bring progressive death metal magic to PROGSTORM Festival 2025

From Dying Suns, the progressive death metal force from Quebec City, is set to bring their technical brilliance and nostalgic fantasy to ProgStorm Festival 2025. The band will perform on Sunday, August 10, at Le Ministère in Montreal, sharing the stage with Into Eternity, The Reticent, Fleshvessel, and The Aphelion. Known for their seasoned lineup featuring members from Augury, Killitorous, Aeternam, and more, the band returns after their 2016 release “Transcending Flesh” with renewed energy, fueled by the additions of Christian Pacaud on bass and Mathieu Dhani on vocals.

Their latest album, “Calamity”, is an 11-track concept record inspired by retro video game classics like Castlevania and Ghosts ‘n Goblins. Critics praise their style as “bass-forward, riff-tacular technical, and melodic death metal,” drawing comparisons to Arsis, Revocation, and The Black Dahlia Murder, From Dying Suns delivers a relentless, layered, and melodic experience. The band expressed excitement for their Montreal debut of “Calamity”, saying,

“This will also be From Dying Suns’ first opportunity to perform in Montreal since the release of our most recent album “Calamity”. We would like to thank the amazing team at ProgStorm for offering us a place in their killer lineup. We look forward to seeing you and sharing our new material with you”

As they bring their sonic odyssey to the stage, From Dying Suns promises a performance brimming with technical prowess, intensity, and nostalgic fantasy, making their appearance at ProgStorm Fes5val 2025 a must see!
