TesseracT @ Midsummer Prog Festival (20.06.2026) – Maastricht (NL)

TesseracT @ Midsummer Prog Festival (20.06.2026) – Maastricht (NL)

TesseracT from the United Kingdom closed the second day of Midsummer Prog with a set built primarily around material from War of Being and Sonder, complemented by selections from Polaris, Altered State and the early Concealing Fate era. Since their formation in 2003, the band has become one of the pioneers of the modern djent and progressive metal scene, combining complex rhythmic structures, downtuned guitars, atmospheric passages and crushing metal riffs.

A noticeably different audience gathered at the front of the stage compared to the earlier festival performances. The first rows were largely occupied by a younger generation of modern progressive metal fans, who followed the band enthusiastically throughout the set. Vocalist Daniel Tompkins repeatedly engaged with the audience, while the technically demanding music required complete concentration from the musicians on stage. The photographs capture the intensity of this powerful festival finale.
