Oathswan from Athens drop Death Comes Home video alongside debut EP

Featuring members of Mask of Prospero, Gentihaa and Aetherian, Oathswan is a new band from Athens, Greece, whose sound can be described as a blend of metalcore, post-metal and progressive metal.

The band’s debut EP “For Those Who Breathe From Darkness” contains four songs that are both heavily intense and downright catchy. Filled with heavy, tech-style and groove-laden riffs, this EP combines a crushing aggression with melodic and progressive tone and almost cinematic soundscapes.

Alongside the release of their debut EP, Oathswan have chosen the track “Death Comes Home” for a proper music video treatment. Says the band:

“Death Comes Home” is the 3rd track from the EP “For Those Who Breathe From Darkness”. The song deals with the idea of home, our safe space, our sacred place. The place where we feel secure and distanced from our fears. Anyone who wishes to stay there without permission, means to end you.

Dario

Co-Founder of The Progspace - Dario discovered the world of Prog upon hearing "Shine on you crazy diamond" for the first time at the tender age of 12 around the turn of the millennium. Coming from a musical family and brought up with classical music, this seemed to be the logical next step. Attended the school of www.progulus.com from 2002, delving into both directions: catching up with the history of already more than 30 years of progressive music as well as always staying up to date with the newest prog sounds. He loves meeting like-minded people and enjoying live music at a concert somewhere in Europe.
