“A Coming to Terms” is sitting neatly between classic and modern progressive metal, with a sound that could be categorized as either.
It feels like they stripped down a lot of the sophisticated fluff, and almost voluntarily chose to make this EP a bit more messy and muscular.
It has a unique signature sound that fits the entire album, despite songs varying from extreme metal monsters to groovy bangers, energetic symphonic or power metal tunes, ballads and even some doom metal elements.
If you too are a fan of dramatic storytelling, blisteringly fast drums, epic orchestrations, swirling guitar leads and multi-faceted vocals, then I suggest you look no further.
Evulsion’s debut record, “Spiritual Putrefaction” has one job to do and it does it exceptionally well. It slaps!

During the third week of September, the Dutch city of Tilburg became Ayreon city. It welcomed around 15,000 guests from over 60 countries, all there to enjoy “Ayreon 01011001 Live Beneath the Waves”. The Progspace was there! Some of our team members experienced it from the camping grounds to the main events. Here you will find a recount from the different members of our team who witnessed the massive event on different places and days.
Diablo Swing Orchestra is one of the absolute best musical acts I’ve witnessed, ever. This includes all of my favorite bands, groups and artists of legendary renown I’ve had the honor of experiencing live, essentially anyone I’ve ever seen performing any kind of music on any kind of stage.
A relatively unknown festival, but a classic one in the prolific Norwegian Progressive Rock Scene, Haugaland Prog & Rock Festival 2022 – in Haugesund, Norway, with only 6 bands but with the caliber of Meer, Gösta Berlings Saga, Seven Impale among others surprised us and made a mark in our proggy hearts. It is the end of an era; festivals come and go but there has never been one quite like this one. I would like to thank Simon and all the Tech-Fest team for all their hard work, it has been an honour to be a small part of it. Au revoir Tech-Fest.
