Playgrounded joins ProgPower Europe 2026 already awesome lineup!
Another excellent addition has been announced for ProgPower Europe 2026. Greek/Dutch progressive outfit Playgrounded will finally make their long awaited debut at the festival, performing on Saturday, October 3, 2026.
The band was originally scheduled to appear at ProgPower Europe 2020, but as with so many events that year, those plans never came to fruition. Six years later, the wait is finally over.
The timing could not be better. Playgrounded are set to release their highly anticipated new album, “A Flower to Water”, just one month before the festival, making their appearance one of the first opportunities for fans to experience the new material live.
Blending progressive rock, alternative, post rock, electronic textures and cinematic atmospheres, Playgrounded have carved out a distinctive sound that refuses to be confined to a single genre. Their music balances intricate songwriting with powerful emotional dynamics, shifting effortlessly between delicate ambience and crushing intensity.
Since forming in Rotterdam, the band has built a strong reputation through acclaimed releases such as “Athens” (2017) and “The Death of Death” (2022), earning praise for their adventurous compositions, immersive live performances and genre defying approach.
With a brand new album on the horizon and a long overdue appearance at one of Europe’s premier progressive music festivals, Playgrounded are shaping up to be one of the highlights of ProgPower Europe 2026.
