In 2018 we had an extraordinary number of quality releases, a real feast for all progressive music fans and lovers. As our team grew up, this list is a tad longer than before and it reflects very well how many releases were top of the top on so many diverse progressive genres mashups or combinations, or if you prefer, progressive sub-genres. Chronicles from Euroblast 2018 – Day 1

Euroblast 2018 was my chance to visit the festival during all 3 days. This festival attracts a very diverse crowd of music enthusiasts and musicians, ranging from pop-tinged progressive rock all the way to brutal technical death metal. Riverside – Wasteland

Riverside is back with an album that will surely end up in most, if not all, top X albums of the year. And in most of them, it’ll be right at the up. Hype? Yes. An empathic wish that these 3 musicians find their way after a tragic loss? Definitely. Lack of objectivity? Most likely. Nevertheless, “Wasteland” represents a new path for the band. One that feels right and relatable. It is an inviting narrative, feeling as if the guys were reaching out to us and letting us peek into their mourning process. And it is definitely an excellent album. 4.5★
