Simone Simons – Vermillion
“Vermillion” is an unexpected surprise, and a very welcome addition to the endlessly growing culture of symphonic and progressive metal that the Dutch are so good at.

I thought this was going to be just another solid DGM album. It is DGM at their best with a few extra ingredients thrown in to spice things up. I have a few albums by them, but this is a fantastic addition. Hopefully we won’t have to wait too long before the next offering and who knows what else is in store.
If their output continues as it has so far, it will be hard to keep up with them. This is a happening band who you may well find on the line-up of a festival sometime soon. I hope I am lucky enough to be at one such event because I’m sure this material will transfer very well to the live environment.
“A Coming to Terms” is sitting neatly between classic and modern progressive metal, with a sound that could be categorized as either.
It feels like they stripped down a lot of the sophisticated fluff, and almost voluntarily chose to make this EP a bit more messy and muscular.

Midsummer Prog Festival 2023 was an event not to be missed and The Progspace was there. Here you will find a recount from the different members of our team who witnessed the massive event on different places and days.
Diablo Swing Orchestra is one of the absolute best musical acts I’ve witnessed, ever. This includes all of my favorite bands, groups and artists of legendary renown I’ve had the honor of experiencing live, essentially anyone I’ve ever seen performing any kind of music on any kind of stage.
A relatively unknown festival, but a classic one in the prolific Norwegian Progressive Rock Scene, Haugaland Prog & Rock Festival 2022 – in Haugesund, Norway, with only 6 bands but with the caliber of Meer, Gösta Berlings Saga, Seven Impale among others surprised us and made a mark in our proggy hearts. Read on to discover how this small festival captivated us and left its mark in our progressive rock and metal journey!
It is the end of an era; festivals come and go but there has never been one quite like this one. I would like to thank Simon and all the Tech-Fest team for all their hard work, it has been an honour to be a small part of it. Au revoir Tech-Fest.
