Progressive death metal band Exist to join ProgStorm Festival 2026

Exist is joining the ProgStorm Festival 2026 lineup! Exist is a band that consistently pushes progressive metal into deeper, more introspective territory. Led by guitarist and vocalist Max Phelps, known for his work with Death To All and Cynic, Exist have carved out a sound where technical precision, jazz influenced harmony and atmospheric tension meet. Their music bridges intricate progressive metal, jazz influenced harmony and moments of melodic introspection, creating a sound that is extreme, complex and emotionally grounded.

Across releases from “Sunlight” toSo True, So Bound” and their later work including “Egoiista” and “Hijacking the Zeitgeist“, the band has refined a style that is intricate yet emotional, heavy yet thoughtful. Their music often explores perception, language and the human experience while delivering tight grooves and modern, cutting edge production.

We’re looking forward to Exist bringing their intensity and depth to Montreal for ProgStorm 2026.

I consider that to be truly Prog!
