The festival runs over four days with more than fifty bands performing. In addition there are industry workshops. For the two of us, who were Tech Fest virgins, the festival was a very pleasant experience. The audience is lively, but very friendly and easy-going. The festival is extremely well run, bands being on time, and changeovers going smoothly and quickly. The staff is generally pleasant, smiling and helpful, something that rubs of on the audience, making it easy to meet new friends.

Head with Wings’ – “From Worry To Shame” is brimful of emotions and humanity. The album is raw passion, delicate hope, and all-to-human pain in one graceful package. The music featured, lyrical content and impressive performance may be both challenging maybe and at times uncomfortable for the listener, but at the other end of that journey lies a reward that is more than worth the time you’ll take to familiarize yourself, and open up to these compositions. 5/5★ /Rune

Ring Van Möbius has delivered one of the more exiting debut albums I’ve had the pleasure of listening too in a long time. It’s rare to hear a band that is this rooted in the classical era of progressive rock be able to create music that is clearly inspired by the grandfathers of the genre, while not becoming derivative or plagiaristic. Ring Van Möbius dances around this with ease, delivering an album that is clearly inspired, but not imitative.

Personally I would have loved to hear some of the more delicate and discreet parts, that made their early albums stand out, make their way back into the bands music. Still, it’s definitely an album worth owning if you enjoy this kind of theatrical symphonic rock.

All in all, while not being a repetition of their debut, this is an impressive piece of art, effortlessly straddling the line between pop and prog. Kino delivers catchy, memorable songs on all fronts. The album is a testimony to openness and breaking the boundaries that separate us in music as in life.

Poem has the professionalism, stage presence, talent, and songwriting skills of a much bigger act, and I can only hope that festival organizers and the progressive community will give them the attention they deserve in the future. On the way out of the venue there were a lot of smiling faces and happy audience members, all in all, a night to remember.

The music of these Italians leave lots of breathing room for the listener without venturing into the more ambient droning sound. This is instrumental music, that almost sounds like it would leave room for a vocalist, even if it really don’t need one. With that in mind the experience becomes very pleasant and entertaining for the listener. 3.5/5 ★

“Emotional Tattoos” is a very professional and delightful listening experience, where you are expertly guided through P.F.M’s musical universe by some of the most experienced musicians you could ever ask for. Anyone with an interest in the symphonic and progressive music of the 70’s would do well to give this album a bit of their attention and time.

Clocking in on only 40 minutes, an anomaly in this day and age, the albums feels very well rounded. My impression is that all and any dead meat have been removed, leaving us with only the prime cuts. As a listener it’s clear that a lot of passion, and hard work, has gone into these songs, and the band wants to solidify their identity and reputation as an act to be reckoned with.
