The band are entering a new era, they have bags of potential and it will be interesting to see how they develop as a quartet going forward.

With most of ‘Premorbid Intelligence’, we find Okyr still looking for their own path in music – and the longer the album lasts, the more we get an idea of how that could look like.
If the material for the new album is of the same calibre as this EP, then we may well have a truly epic album to look forward to. If this band continues to evolve in this direction there will be no stopping them.
The album is truly a masterpiece of creativity and expression and it works great on its own as well as a continuation of “Phanerozoic I: Palaeozoic”. It is diverse and complex but fluid, cohesive, coherent and kept on track.
This band beautifully blends balls and brains and the end result is a truly enchanting filth-fest.
