“Violent Portraits of Doomed Escape” is the best thing they have released to date. It is hard to imagine them making anything much better, because this album is superb, but who knows. They have packed so much stuff into these nine tracks, I hear something new each time I play this album.
Tiberius have a great deal of fun writing their stuff and have produced an excellent and enjoyable album with “A Peaceful Annihilation”.
They play into many of the musical elements that prog has seen before, making consistent use of the Dream Theater DNA, but the way they put them together allows them to stand on their own.
There are no fillers on this album, every track has something to adhere it to you. Infectious grooves, earworms. Don’t take my word for it, have a listen.
Alizarin’s “The Last Semblance” is cleverly written, delivered and produced, but the experience that it offers isn’t always enjoyable.
