TDW exclusive premiere: ‘Death and Her Brother Greg’

Dutch symphonic/prog metal vocalist and composer Tom de Wit aka TDW (Dreamwalkers Inc.) returns with a new, very personal solo concept album, “The Days the Clock Stopped”, slated for release on the 4th of December 2020. Today, he is premiering the very first single ‘Death and Her Brother Greg’, that comes with a revealing, daring music video.  For this song, Tom recruited Rich Gray (Aeon Zen/Annihilator) on the Bass and Fabio Allessandrini (Annihilator) on Drums alongside Chris Zoupa (Teramaze) on all the guitar solos.

Comments Tom:

“This song and the video with it, describe the moment that a human body gives up on itself and what it feels like to be trapped in that situation. Literally feeling how your bodily functions are giving up and how you desperately try to hold on to life as this is taking place.”

The video was directed, edited and performed by Tom de Wit. The medical staff shown in the video are portrayed by Laura ten Hoedt and Luc Brouwer. Camerawork was done by Helena & Eric Martens and makeup was done by Lisette de Weijer. On set photography was done by Elly Hak.

Next to the album, an hour long documentary will be included that chronicles the downward spiral and eventual return to life from TDW mainman Tom de Wit as he was fighting a near fatal bowel disease in his early twenties and what this did to him. All this will be packaged into a DVD sized digibook edition with an extensive booklet with lyrics, photo’s liner notes and more.

The album is now available for pre-order for a limited time at https://www.tdwmusic.com/shop and this pre-order comes with a crowdfunding campaign. If the target of 4500 euros is reached, this album will become a vinyl release in 2021!

Dario

Co-Founder of The Progspace - Dario discovered the world of Prog upon hearing "Shine on you crazy diamond" for the first time at the tender age of 12 around the turn of the millennium. Coming from a musical family and brought up with classical music, this seemed to be the logical next step. Attended the school of www.progulus.com from 2002, delving into both directions: catching up with the history of already more than 30 years of progressive music as well as always staying up to date with the newest prog sounds. He loves meeting like-minded people and enjoying live music at a concert somewhere in Europe.
