Kristoffer Gildenlöw – [Humanised]

This album is one of those that gets better with every play. There will be more from this man, of that I have no doubt and I will be on the lookout for it.

Dear Mother – Necessary Darkness

The combination of aggression and vulnerability, dark lyrics that leave room for interpretation and just enough variation, makes “Necessary Darkness” a strong next step for Dear Mother.

Sunburst – Manifesto

It’s hard to beat great vocals and stunningly dexterous guitar playing backed up by a solid rhythm section. There are no doubt reasons why they have only produced two albums in 14 years. I hope the next one will be released before too long. If it’s as good as “Manifesto,” it will be well worth waiting for.

Ghost on Mars – Out of Time and Space

Well, what can I say? This is a stunner of a debut album. I can’t help thinking that these guys are perfect for festivals such as Progpower Europe. I would certainly welcome a chance to see them live. What have the Romans ever done for us? Need you ask? It goes without saying that I am looking forward very much to future works from them.

Fleshgod Apocalypse - Live at Bloom Studio

Fleshgod Apocalypse – Live at Bloom Studio

We have watched a few of these online events, and I thought this was the best one so far.  At roughly 75 minutes long, there was a feeling of real quality about this one.

ProgRockFest 2023 in Legionowo, Poland

ProgRock Fest in Legionowo (a Polish city near Warsaw) is since 2015 an annual indoor festival for prog rock lovers. The festival is not of an order of magnitude to attract the big (foreign) names. But in previous editions names such as Galahad, Collin bass, Mystery and the David Cross Band were on the list. This year it was a complete Polish affair.

Ino-Rock Festival 2023. Inowrocław, Poland

Jaak visited INO-ROCK Festival 2023 in Poland and captured the best moments on his camera. The international and varied lineup this year included Soen – With Orchestra (Sweden), David Cross Band (United Kingdom), Collage (Poland), Long Distance Calling (Germany), Here on Earth (Poland)
