We’re left with strong feelings of uplifting melancholia, if that makes any sense, triumphant, yet aware of the hardships and traumas endured on our journey so far. And that is the exact moment I know there’s no way around a perfect 10/10 for “Binary Dream”, because it’s nothing short of breathtaking, both on a technical and emotional level.
For me, this is a band that stands out from the crowd and “The Aeon Discordance” gets better with each listen. Their compositions are diverse and vibrant and have the ratio of ingredients that closely match my current musical taste. I hope this album will propel them to greater things and I look forward to hearing more from them.
Job for a Cowboy’s twisted hallucinogenic tale from 2014’s “Sun Eater” finally continues with “Moon Healer”.
“Fall” is another solid addition to Borknagar’s impressive catalogue, as it’s built on a strong foundation of excellent songwriting and musicianship. If you’re a fan of progressive metal with a touch of the extreme, you really can’t go wrong with Borknagar.

Day 3 and last of Euroblast 2018. It was all in all an excellent festival, very well organized but with a couple of hiccups here and there. Other than that this is a well-oiled machine of a festival.
Day 2 at Euroblast 2018. It was a day of excellent shows and great surprises, albeit a bit monotonous during the middle.
Euroblast 2018 was my chance to visit the festival during all 3 days. This festival attracts a very diverse crowd of music enthusiasts and musicians, ranging from pop-tinged progressive rock all the way to brutal technical death metal. The important thing is that the musicians involved are on the top of the class, both musically and personally. Read more to follow my full chronicle of these 3 days full of progressive awesomeness.
The prospect of witnessing again the magic that means Leprous and Agent Fresco live, joined by the unknown (for me) quartet 22, was an easy decision for me, I love this live package so much, as I knew we, the lucky ones there, were going to be gifted with such a massive energy and love for well made music flowing back and forth from the stage to the audience. And so it was!
