“With “Nivalis”, the three Icelanders of Árstíðir have created an incredibly beautiful gem of an album, regardless of genre, and a worthy follow up to their 2015 masterpiece “Hvel”. 4,5/5★”

“”L-1VE” is the perfect retrospective (at least aurally) on the first four studio albums and ten years of Haken. I am super excited to find out what the future holds for those six incredibly talented and equally lovely blokes. And now the wait is on for HVKEN and the subsequent touring cycle. Luckily, we have “L-1VE” to keep us company.” / 4,5/5★

“[The music] is fairly epic in sound and songwriting, to an extent that it almost beggars belief that all this was written, played, sung, produced and programmed by Nehl Aëlin herself with only the help of four musicians and not a whole symphony orchestra.[…]Do yourself a favor and treat yourself with the wonderful and beguiling music of the Lady who picks the hearts (La Dame qui Piquait les Cœurs) if you like movie soundtracks, classical music and french chansons. You won’t regret it.” 4,5/5★

Poem has the professionalism, stage presence, talent, and songwriting skills of a much bigger act, and I can only hope that festival organizers and the progressive community will give them the attention they deserve in the future. On the way out of the venue there were a lot of smiling faces and happy audience members, all in all, a night to remember.

“Road to Jerusalem don’t reinvent the wheel of heavy rock completely, but they sure as hell give it a breath of fresh air with a unique identity, filling the gap the incredible Ark left all those years ago and delivering a welcome treat for all those who find Jørn Lande’s solo albums all too same-ish and straight forward.” 4/5★

With all the surprises, strong support (or co-headliner) acts and a Leprous performance that seemed out of this world, the “Malina” tour ranks on the top of the list of 2017, for some (like our Munich reviewer Dario!) even leaving behind the likes of the Ayreon Universe shows and Shattered Fortress, both among the highlights of the concerts roster of 2017 in Europe. Leprous are superstars, and deservedly so.
