This album grew on me the more I played it. There is much more variety within its 12 tracks than it first appears as well as melody. It has been three years since their previous release. Whilst that is not too long compared to some bands, I hope they are already working on the next one.
This album is all over the place in terms of technicality, complexity, genre mashups and weird song structures but despite that, it is quite engaging.
If you too want to get rid of all that cheap supermarket symphonic metal and nourish your ears with some healthy organic goodies, then I strongly recommend Lycania’s debut record.
Albums that impress me this much are rare but not unknown. This debut by Temic is outstanding and I have felt honoured to have had the chance to express my views on it. My appetite is well and truly whetted, and I am now hungry for more, so I hope that won’t be too long coming.

The prospect of witnessing again the magic that means Leprous and Agent Fresco live, joined by the unknown (for me) quartet 22, was an easy decision for me, I love this live package so much, as I knew we, the lucky ones there, were going to be gifted with such a massive energy and love for well made music flowing back and forth from the stage to the audience. And so it was!
A show that could have gone on forever, and that left a deeply pleased and satisfied audience. Pain of Salvation are back to their old strength, I might even say better than ever!

Be Prog! My Friend, was once again a perfectly organized festival, where you never felt that it was too full, the breaks had the perfect length and, most importantly, the musical selection was spot on.
The festival runs over four days with more than fifty bands performing. In addition there are industry workshops. For the two of us, who were Tech Fest virgins, the festival was a very pleasant experience. The audience is lively, but very friendly and easy-going. The festival is extremely well run, bands being on time, and changeovers going smoothly and quickly. The staff is generally pleasant, smiling and helpful, something that rubs of on the audience, making it easy to meet new friends.
